Two weeks ago, 19-year-old actor Ezra Miller gave Out Magazine a “candid” interview and revealed that he was gay. Sort of.
We’re not sure if the small amount of fanfare that trumpeted this admission was due to our culture’s step-by-step acceptance of alternative sexualities, or because anyone who has seen Mr. Miller outside of a movie would locate it weirder if the Perks of Being a Wallflower actor announced he was straight.

“I’m queer,” he says, simply. “I have a lot of really marvelous friends who are of very distinct sexes and genders. I am very much in cherish with no one in particular. I’ve been trying to figure out relationships, you know? I don’t know if it’s responsible for kids of my age to be so aggressively going after monogamous binds, because I don’t consider we’re ready for them. Ezra Miller opens up about gay identity and #MeToo
Actor Ezra Miller has opened up about what his queer identity means to him, telling the Hollywood Reporter that they reject the gender binary.
“I don’t identify," they said.
"Like, f**k that."
Miller added: “Queer just means no, I don’t act that. I don’t identify as a man. I don’t determine as a woman. I barely identify as a human.”
The wide-ranging, no-holds-barred interview - conducted on Miller's farm in Vermont - also touched on the Fantastic Beasts actor's own #MeToo experience.
"They gave me wine and I was underaged," they recalled of an unnamed director/producer duo.
"They were like, 'Hey, want to be in our movie about male lover revolution?' And I was appreciate, 'No, you guys are monsters.'"
Miller continued: "It's a great f**kin' age of being like, 'You know what? That shit's unacceptable,' And it's amazing for a lot of us to view. 'Cause, like, we all knew it was unacceptable when we f**king survived it."
