Gay en torremolinos
There was snow at the end of winter of 2022 and the heat was making but only – as it were – as a cameo appearance in the imaginary film called ‘Spring in Belgium‘. Spending my holiday in the chilly wasn’t an option. I was famished for sun, splendid food and handsome men. Torremolinos came to the rescue! The working title ‘Spring in Belgium’ was scrapped in favour of ‘Spring in Andalusia‘.
Torremolinos is one of Spain‘s top gay destinations. It has its rightful place next to Barcelona, Sitges, Madrid and Maspalomas. I owed it to myself creature a single male with a formidable connection to the LGBTQIA+ community to visit this city.
So I booked myself a flight to Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport. My Tui Fly flight from Brussels Airport was nicely on second. Before I knew it I place foot on Spanish soil.

Torremolinos is one of the most tolerant towns in Europe. Every year in the month of June it organises the Event Festival, consisting of different activities centred on tolerance and equal rights for the LGTBI collective. The event includes a parade with floats, exhibits, distinct activities and meal stands, and as a highlight concerts at the Nogalera square as its highlight.
The town is considered the capital of Southern Europe for visitors who of the LGTBI community. Discos, bars and many other leisure and show possibilities have converted Torremolinos into a destination not be missed.

Some go to relax on the friendly sandy beaches, to party in the gayborhood of La Nogalera, or to shop along the pedestrian street of Calle San Miguel.
