little LGBTQ+ Gem in Orlando Florida
Hi y’all
As you all know, I’m always after something peculiar or spooky or lgbtq+ whenever I travel and I happened to stumble upon this LGBTQ+ place in Orlando, FL called Southern Nights (whoever is originally from there knows exactly where I’m talking about as for Orlando is a bit of a townie vibe caring of place).
Not only possess I had the pleasure of meeting several Rupaul Drag Race queens that they happen to carry 1 on weekly basis, but they have a large repertoire of activities, and here are the ones that i favorited:
Black Haus Creature Feature (Tuesdays):
Now, this is a first for me, as a small island girl, never i would think I’d find a place that shows alternative drag shows, in this case, my favorite genre: Goth performative shows.
So mainly every Tuesday if you’re around you can get your correct of spooky in this place with this exist show, also link up with other peers such as your spooky self!
They have brought on queens from the show Dragula ( feel free to Google on that). (I’ve caught a couple of queens there already) and also when Dragula has a new season they do watch parties. They have a variety of themes for every Tuesday

I am hearing some terrible news on facebook: Parliament House is said to be closing its doors for good this Sunday after the Halloween weekend celebrations.
This place has been an institution for 45 years, and was my favorite local haunt to visit for Gay Days. There was always a big exhibit on the stage over the pool (I've seen Sandra Bernhard, Miz Cracker, Asia O'Hara, Aquaria, Peppermint and more there). I enjoyed it because it was truly something for everyone: indoor dance floor, outdoor dance floor, more chill bar areas, stage shows, a seedy motel (and during gay days lots of booths from various retailers, and a "foam party" enclosure I always had to laugh at b/c there were only maybe 2-3 ppl in at a time and the foam would always be blowing out of the enclosure! haha) And you could always take a stroll to the lake in help and end your night with a peaceful conversation looking out over the water. Apparently the staff was only recently informed and told to keep things quiet so as not to distract from Halloween, which is a huge money maker each year. Kind of a shady thing to do when closing down such an establish
