DIVAs, it’s finally happened! We’ve got our second-ever same-sex couple in the Love Island franchise. Fans of the new international all-stars edition of the show were screaming with queer happiness when Megan Barton Hanson and Kyra Green coupled up. 

Both Megan and Kyra came out as bi-curious after their respective Devotion Island seasons and contain been firm fan favourites throughout the new demonstrate Love Island Games. Having watched the pair tease in previous episodes, it only seemed logical that the pair gave cherish a real shot by coupling up together. 

Love Island has only ever seen one same-sex coupling before now on the 2016 UK series. Katie Salmon and Sophie Gradon made history by choosing each other in a reveal which has often been critiqued for being incredibly hetronormative.

'Love Island USA' Confirms Same-Sex Relationship in the Villa

Love Island USA has aired a same-sex association in the villa, with Kassy Castillo and Johnnie Garcia sharing a brush .

The pair’s friendship has evolved since the latter entered the villa as a bombshell, and the latest episode revealed that the duo were prepared to take their relationship to the next stage.

In a clip joint by the existence show’s official media channels, Kassy and Johnnie began talking on the sofas as they sought to gauge how they felt about each other.

Kassy starts by telling Johnnie: “I obviously find you attractive, I just didn’t know if you felt the attraction, too. I just wanted to recognize if you were seeing that.” Johnnie counters with: “Bitch I been seeing it, what execute you mean?”

On Wednesday, November 8, Love Island fan favourites Kyra Green and Megan Barton-Hanson became the franchise’s third-ever same-sex couple, and fans have been celebrating the fresh relationship all week.

After their previous appearances on Love Island, Megan (29) and Kyra (26) both came out as bisexual and have talked openly about their queer identities.

They were both cast in the new spin-off series, Love Island Games, an international all-stars edition which brings together former islanders for a fresh chance at love. During the series, contestants compete through team and couple challenges to defeat immunity so they can shun being eliminated from the villa.

Fans tried not to get their hopes up when Megan and Kyra started flirting and chatting about their sexualities and previous relationships, and everyone sat in suspense during Kyra’s re-coupling speech.
