In a heartfelt thread on Twitter, Destiny 2 narrative artist Robert Brookes officially confirmed that Osiris and Saint-14 are romantically involved. In the thread, Brookes explains that, as a fan of Destiny, he always interpreted the partnership between them as a romantic one. When he became a developer on the game, he learned that his interpretation of the characters was adjust and continued to write them that way.

The eighteenth season of Destiny 2will wrap up on December 6, but fans have already seen the season’s final cutscene, which rehashes the recent story content, and shows long-standing characters Osiris and Saint 14 kissing onscreen for the first time in the franchise’s history.
This kiss was not the reveal of the pairing of Osiris and Saint 14, nor was it the first time it’s been made canon tothe storyline of Destiny 2. Back in November of 2020, Destiny 2 writer Robert Brookes posted a thread on Twitter discussing the importance of bisexual and LGBTQ+ representation in general. The thread was in part also about the association between Osiris and Saint 14.
“Back when I joined Bungie I always felt Saint-14 and Osiris were romantically involved because, as a queer man, their romance made sense to me. Bungie's notably left romantic relationships out of the Destiny franchise for some time, exiting fans to contemplate and speculate on the subject on their own. However, it's now been canonically confirmed by Bungie narrative director Robert Brookes that a relationship exists between Osiris and Saint-14.
Brookes confirmed the bond in a lengthy Twitter thread on Saturday in which he discussed his own experiences understanding his sexual orientation while growing up. He talked about what it was appreciate not understanding the concept of bisexuality due to a lack of LGBTQI+ education and inclusion.
