I've been telling everyone how much I love Writer's Block, so I thought it was time to draft a review.Atmosphere: Even though it's a cocktail bar, it has a chill non-pretentious vibe. It's small and relatively quiet, so it makes the flawless date spot, because you can actually have a conversation. Downstairs is a tiny bar, while upstairs is a lounge. As a designer, the style is always essential to me. I usually judge a place on if they take the time to construct the restrooms distinct, and here, they've wallpapered them in comic books! The rest of the decor is basic , and understated. Drinks: They have an extensive cocktail menu. My usual favorite is the Mymosa, but I've been branching out and recently tried the Wild Boy. The flavors are absorbing and the names are fun too. Umm, they are strong too, so be prepared to be feeling unbelievable after 2 :)Food: I've never had their food, but they have a couple of options. I would probably eat first before coming here, but I think I'm going to strive their deviled eggs next time.Hours: They close at 1amService: Everyone that works there seems to love their position. The neighborhood’s current incarnation, as one of the thriving hubs of LBGT experience in the metropolis, might have only been since the ’70s and ’80s, but this neighborhood has a distant and lustrous history. Among other historical highlights, Ben Franklin flew his infamous kite-and-key combination during a thunderstorm right at 12th and Chestnut streets.

In 2004, two local restaurateurs, Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran, opened the elegant Mexican restaurant Lolita, the first of what has now grow a mini-empire of eateries between the two women. Their star power in turn attracted more high-end restaurants, which has helped build the area highly desirable.

Midtown Village is easily usable by SEPTA subway, either from the Broad Street line at Walnut Street; or on the Market Street line at 13th.
