Austin Texas Top Same-sex attracted Friendly Neighborhoods
If you are looking for a friendly neighborhood with progressive thinking, one where gays are welcome, there are neighborhoods in Austin, Texas worth checking out. Although most of Austin is considered "gay friendly", and gays live in almost all neighborhoods, there are some Austin, Texas top homosexual neighborhoods recommended by many.
In no particular order, Austin Texas' top gay neighborhoods include, but are not limited to; Allandale, which is in the northwest part of the urban core, University Hills, in the northeast section of East Austin, and Rollingwood.
University Hills is popular for those looking to rehab or renovate older, mid-century homes, which populate the area and Rollingwood is considered a elongated established gay collective. Close to downtown, Rollingwood's residents are progressive and liberal.

Although there are clusters, everyone is pretty much in consent that there really are no gay neighborhoods in Austin. Integration is part of the Austin culture.
We started the map787 undertaking years ago to illustrate this demographic and engage the crowd at the annual Pride festival. Where do we live? The dots represent actual households … blue for the guys, yellow for the lesbians (pink was not available), red is bi and green is the T in GLBT. Austin's LGBTQ scene has it all. You don't have to view for rainbow flags or limit yourself to one small part of Austin if you're interested in experiencing everything that the city's large and varied LGBTQ community has to offer. Unlike many places, which have only one or two areas famous as 'gay districts,' Austin's LGBTQ residents are truly everywhere. And proud of it!
