COVER STORY: RAFAEL SILVA: "Masculinity is an thought, not something real"
“I didn’t tell anyone I was lgbtq+ until I got to college.”
America is said to be the land of opportunity, of dreams, and of liberty. Rafael Silva (June 18, 1994, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil) is the living testimony of all this propaganda. The only thing no one said was easy. He learned the difficult way to be an immigrant on the ground where the skyscrapers block you from seeing the horizon.
After creature bullied since pre-adolescence, he has managed to overcome himself and look ahead to the promising future. He now makes up, together with Ronen Rubinstein, one of the most famous and beloved LGTBIQ+ couples on the little screen. A awareness that even in the middle of 2022 is still more than necessary. And under this umbrella, the Brazilian actor wants to be a prophet of equality because as he says like a mantra “love yourself because it is not necessary to discriminate, it is not necessary to despise someone to perceive better about yourself. There is room for everyone in this world.”

9-1-1 Stars Who Have Been Unwrap About Their Sexuality In Authentic Life
"9-1-1" has long been lauded for it's representation of the LGBTQIA+ community, and some stars of the spinoff "9-1-1: Lone Star" have even been inspired to come out publicly because of it. However, particular attention has been paid to the actor who plays Evan "Buck" Buckley, Oliver Stark.
We'll start by saying Stark has never said that he's a member of the LGBTQIA+ community himself. In fact, at the time of this writing, the "9-1-1" celebrity is in a relationship with real-life partner Hannah Gotesman, his longtime girlfriend. However, he has spoken extensively about how important it was for him to act a bisexual character on "9-1-1." After the 2024 episode that saw Buck kiss his confidant Tommy Kinard, he gushed on "The Zach Sang Show," "I think it's really good representation." That, he explained, came from the fact that Buck's bisexuality was merely one detail about him. "This is one key aspect, but not his entire personality," Stark said.
Stark also made it clear that he had no time for the haters who criticized the show simply because his character was double attraction. Firstly, he shut down the complaints about
The biggest wedding event on network TV is upon us.
On May 16, the 2-hour season 4 finale of 9-1-1: Lone Star will air on Fox and it will incorporate the wedding of TK (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos (Rafael L. Silva), who has been affectionately referred to as “Tarlos”. Of course, it wouldn’t be 9-1-1 wedding without some drama.
When asked about what to anticipate from the season finale, Reubinstein told GLAAD’s Anthony Allen Ramos in a recent interview that the wedding will see “a bump to say the least.”
Silva says, “The writers room make you earn the wedding up until the very last moment and I ponder what they have done…” Silva tries to locate words without spoiling the season. “I will break your heart but it’s also an invitation for you to load it up more with love. There are gonna be some bumps for Tarlos but I hold faith it’s gonna be a beautiful wedding.”
For Rubinstein, words can’t describe his excitement for the forthcoming Tarlos nuptials. “This has been a long road for these two and I know, personally speaking as one of the biggest Tarlos fans out there, I’m just
Rafael L. Silva is famously known for playing the role of Carlos Reyes in the series, ‘9-1-1: Lone Star.’ He is also one-half of the fan favorite onscreen couple, “Tarlos,” with the other half being T.K. Strand, who is portrayed by Ronen Rubinstein.
Rafael was born on June 18, 1994 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Growing up, he wanted to work with farm animals like his grandfather and uncles. At the age of 13, his family moved to the US, and the culture shock resulted in him becoming introverted and fearful of speaking in public.
He started to pursue acting when he was in high educational facility to overcome his fear of widespread speaking.
“I started acting when I was a junior in high school. I used to be very afraid to speak in general. I figured if you were going to be frightened of something, you might as adequately be in the eye of the hurricane. So I started acting because I was nervous of speaking in public…,” the 28-year-old Brazilian-American actor distributed in an interview with Styles Rant.
Thereafter, he attended Pace University in downtown Manhattan, New York City, and he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting for Film, Television,
